Monday Mantra
I’ve always loved the saying Melissa Wood uses - “how bad do you want to feel good?” When you’re striving or a balanced, happy life there are things you won’t want to do. There will be a lot of times you won’t want to finish the workout, make the meal at home, say “no” to the thing you feel pressured to do.
But what’s the actual end goal?
I think that’s what the saying reminds us of. To get through temporary discomfort for a far bigger, rewarding goal.
Once you discover what your body and mind need, you have to stay committed to doing those things. That phrase has helped me a handful of times. Especially when it comes to having uncomfortable conversations, saying no, getting motivated after a long vacation, or carving out 20 minutes to do a workout with my toddler running around.
I really believe that affirmations and mantras and this is one i love to use that keeps me going, so I wanted to share.
